Totes and Purses

My name is Fahari Wambura. In 2015 I started making tote bags and coin purses from my home in Ghent, NY after watching a YouTube video. I sold them at farmers markets, flea markets and craft fairs throughout the Hudson River Valley.

Within a few months, I introduced other products as per customer requests. This was the beginning of Fahari Bazaar.

The tote bags and purses we make today are still the same designs I developed when I started my small business.

Kyondoo

Our Kyondoo totes and purses are sourced from the Maasi market in Nairobi, Kenya. These bags are traditional to the Kamba tribe of central Kenya. They are made from sisal, and also from recycled yarn and plastic. It is our goal to source them directly from the artisans in uKambani.
